Ski Boat Dog Clutches

transport - some impressions

As I struggled to start this blog entry, but as always, how difficult is to start throwing around phrases and then begin to accommodate himself.

After arriving in Kazan in general everything went great, the truth is that I do not regret anything that I chose this city as my first point of contact with the Russian civilization, and I think that has helped me to have more contact warm with Russian culture, that maybe in larger cities like St. Petersburg or Moscow could not have.

The transfer from the airport to the house where I am staying was fascinating, I had my first contact with the Russian winter, and yes, the truth is that the cold is quite strong in these two weeks we have been between -5 ° C and -38 ° C, but the truth, down to -10 ° C do not feel a major difference. Something I've noticed a lot, unlike Mariupol (which is the only city with which I can truly compare right now), this city is in a very strong process of modernization, the suburbs have very modern apartment buildings, the not really ask anything to cities like Miami and Chicago (at its proper level, of course).

Rumors that Russian roads are terrible are not entirely wrong, if they are bad, the pavement is pretty crappy and uneven, but I think what most concerns at this time the year is that there is so much snow and ice on all sides, 4-lane roads become two, because more than clean snow is always overflowing the sidewalks onto the street.

Upon arrival to the department (or floor, as I like to call it here in Europe), the treatment was super hot, the place is excellent, although it is a bit far from downtown, but it's really quite comfortable. It has two floors, but downstairs, where I am staying is very nearly an entire department to myself, I have TV, bed, sofa, kitchen and bathroom, what more could you want?

The family with whom I am staying is great, the girl who is hosting me called Masha (Maria) and as half of the week is with his parents, and another season will be his dacha (country house) in the suburbs. Masha she studied and lived for a time in Galicia, and the truth is that he speaks both English and English in an impressive, if I find on the street and speak in English I could swear that is not English and Russian.

They have treated me with enough love, which also surprised me in general is that the people here and in confidence is very warm, very hospitable and always in the mood to make you feel comfortable.

Something I thought I was going to be hard going to be food, which I got to see on the Internet did not look very appetizing to be very honest, but being over here I've noticed some things that are pretty tasty, and what little I've tried really great great food is delicious, as far as seasonings, and richness of flavor not ask for anything Mexican. Of course, a big problem I encountered is when buying the food at the supermarket, for several reasons, first is that I'm used to purchase prepared meals (I'm lazy, so what?), And here is more as a super 15 years ago, where only find fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, dairy products and others, and they have to take the chance to buy all the ingredients separately to prepare your food. There are some things I did not want to buy it than if I'm pretty rusty on it and cooked, as well as missing other important ingredients (like lemon) to throw good flavor to the issue. So my diet has largely been processed meat, Pilmeni, which are a kind of ravioli stuffed with meat, very rich if you cook with butter, and yogurt.

We do, took almost a week of not eating Pilmeni, I decided to prepare 500g of it, because I said, "if I just why not?" And go, if it was too, I had food, dinner and breakfast the next day.

Out there, in restaurants I've eaten the food is generally varied and rich, I tried the Tatar Azu, which is like a beef stew with potatoes, but as with herbs as well, the most delicious things I've tasted in my life, I declare myself a fan.

For now finish this blog entry, the entry while others, as there are many things to say of life around here van
